I'm planning on going to the Silver Lake Sand dunes this summer. I am wondering if I run a set of Maxxis Sur Trac's backwards, will they work ok? This will be my first ride in the sand. I use these tires in the snow and they seem to work good.

you can't go in sand with just stock tires? i'm not saying that works the best but i don't want to spend on tires for each terrain type. i want to try the dunes also but it will be with just the equipment the ATV has already.

now... sand will not mess anything up, will it?
