I have a friend with a 00' Lakota. He is intrested in doing a valve adjustment by hiself. He is a Certified Nissan Master Mechanic so I know he is competent but how hard is it? Has anyone done this themselves. He ordered the $50 dollar service manual for some help. Does anyone know if the service manual is worth the money? Thanks in advance.

The service manual is good and the procedure is fairly easy.

Would someone post the procedure? The valves on my Lakota need adjusting and I have the tank off, so now would be a good time.

Thanks

I think that the procedure may be a bit long and drawn out but it would be nice to see.

98Lakota where did you get the manual clutch conversion. Did it help the perfomance of the Lakota? Was it hard to do?

The conversion was done when I bought the bike. Right now, I am fighting with the stiffness of the clutch lever. I have replaced the HD springs with factory with little difference.
