Atv took on water
#1
I have a Kawasaki 220 bayou. 2 days ago out at ryc I went under and stalled. It took on water. I emptied the air box but that's all I've done. Engine won't even pull start and I can't jump the silanoid. The pull start feels like itS ceased up. Any ideas for an engine that was sunk and won't start??

First, I hate mud/water riding deep like that, and have never personally swamped a machine. At the least you should turn off the fuel, remove the spark plug and turn it over(by hand if possible) until the water stops coming out. Water doesn't compress like a fuel/air mix and the motor is probably "hydro locked." Next drain the oil and replace. Can be with something cheap as you will likely have to replace a few times to get all the water purged. Drain all the fuel and replace this as well. At this point you can probably put a new plug in and again see if it will turn over by hand. Swamping them can cause serious internal damage, but if it turns over as usual/doesn't bind I would throw the plug wire back on and fire it up. It will probably still run rough for a bit till the rest of the water works out of the system. Once it has warmed up I would check the oil and change again if necessary.

I'd drain the gas tank.
drain the engine oil.
Pull the spark plug and put the atv upside down to see if any water comes out the hole
Drain the carb float bowl
Take out the air filter
Pull the engine over by hand a few times to see if any more water comes out.
If not, reinstall spark plug, but first make sure you have spark.
Fill with cheap oil.
Fill with fresh gas.
Drain the float bowl some more till fresh fuel starts coming out.
try to start it. If it starts I'd run it for a few minutes then check the oil. If milky, drain and refill again and run for a few minutes. Once the oil isn't very milky, run the engine till it is operating temp for 15 minutes or so and then drain oil again.
You may as well clean/oil/install your air filter before running engine.

Here is a good post for getting the engine water out. Tip for getting Water out of the Engine after a Drowning - Kawasaki ATV Forum
Once that's is done you still need to drain the front and rear diffs and carb bowl.
