08 Fi Brute Force Bogs down/stutter/losses most of its power
Hi new here, first post.
Ive got a 2008 Kawasaki Brute Force 750i Fuel injected.
Snorkled, dyna power commander 3, VFJ springs.
The quad is fine on dry ground until it gets just a liiiitttle wet.
i dont even need to be in a mud hole or water hole. just have to quickly drive through a puddle. after i do that is bogs down/losses most of its power and backfires and pops through air box..
it feels like it runs on 1 cyclinder until i drive around for a bit until it clears up
Any ideas?
Im so at loss right now...

its sealed pretty good with high temp 100% silicone so would that still be the problem you think?

If the plug wires are original And its an 08 so the machine was probably put into use in 07 so we are talking about plug wires that are about 7 years old... I'm not sure the maintenance schedule on replacing them but I'm sure they are overdue. On a car maybe 4-5 years but a quad they are out in the open and get a lot of abuse from the weather, mud, etc...

well i took the spark plug boot out and cleaned off the silicone, then pulled the coil out and cleaned it. pulled the spark plug and cleaned it. Reinstalled the coil and siliconed the connectors and silicone the output spark plug boot. Just have to wait until it dries.
What should i do about the spark plug and the drain hole? should i just silicone seal the spark plug and plug the hole up? Dielectric grease dose not help ive already tried that.
ALSO... when i took out the spark plug some dirt fell into the engine.... do you guys think im okay??

Suttering/boging down is fixed!! THANKS ALL FOR THE SUGGESTIONS!
i resealed my coil connectors, the coil spark plug output, the round tube that connectors to the spark plug boot, the drain and the spark plug. NOW ITS 100% WATER PROOF.
I geuss Mike is right, the bike is 7 years old and the only new parts would be barrings. So i geuss in a bit i will need to invest in a new spark plug boot and wires.
THANKS AGAIN.
Is there any way to mark this thread as solved?
