Other than having to have them balanced I am very impressed with them soo far.
No deep snow but they easily dig through what's there is to bite the trail.
I've pushed them hard and they like it.

There is a guy selling a 2011 750i with a blown motor and only 1 hour on it.
It might be a good cheap parts ATV for you. https://atvconnection.com/forums/cla...orce-750i.html He drown it and warranty would not cover it.

poor guy or should I say idiot

2012 got a whole makeover - not sure what's the same between the two besides I have no where to keep a second ATV.

I think there is more different than the same with the newer Brute Forces. I actually liked the ones I rode on the test drive in 2012. Can't say the same for previous Brute Forces.

I've been reluctant to put my trunk on because I didn't want to "bolt" it on.
It was held on by two bungee cords to my Honda but with the large rack tubing
they wouldn't work on my BF.
It was real easy to remove and install before - this is a little more of a permanent set up.
Missed the storage and now having a passenger more often I felt it was a needed thing.

I had to alter my flag mount too.

And it kind of interferes with the gas cap but not as bad as I was thinking it would.
I looked at a lot of rear cargo bags and trucks and couldn't really find one I liked any way.

When we were out riding at 5-Mile Pass I watched my friends BHs spin several times
climbing up snowy/muddy hills where I just walked right up without spinning a tire.
His BHs are relatively new so a lack of treat isn't the issue.
BHs are just not an aggressive tire.
IMO all they have going for them is longevity and that's about it.

I've come close to buying an older used Brute and from what I've heard about the older ones with the dual carbs, I'm glad I never did. I'm sure once the carbs were replaced with fuel injection, reliability greatly increased. I still think the lever for the diff-lock is a bit silly that you have to hold it to keep it engaged. Make it so it engages when you pull it and disengages when you pull it again, like a parking brake. Other than that, the new Brutes look to be very solid. Power is somewhere in the middle in its class. More than Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha and Arctic Cat(700) but less than Polaris and Can-Am. I'm wondering if the new 800cc engine in the Teryx will make it into the Brute, that would probably put it close to the Sportsman 850 and Outlander 800.
