Bought a 1989 bauou 300 that ran but not much power due to low compression. I had another 300 good engine so I installed it using all electrical components (cdi, regulator, stator and pickup coil). Engine does not start. Checked spark, none when I ground plug, but when I hold the plug away from the head a little a good spark will jump from the plug to head. There is a good ground from battery to engine. Need help on this for it is driving me crazy!
