i have some troubles with the mojo i replaced a idler gear for kickstarter cause it wouldnt start any more it woul just jump gears i put it back together it worked better but still didnt do right it still jumnp gears i took it back apart and screwed with kickstarter spring put it back together it works better but still not right what is wrong???????????????????

 

you need to check the ratchet system of the kick start. take it apart and inspect it for wear.

 

Go to buykawasaki.com and click on view parts diagrams. get a diagram of your mojave kick starter up. Look at part #13078(ratchet gear) ,#59051(spur gear) and spring #92081A(ratchet spring, this is not the kick start return spring).
Make sure the spring is ok and is pushing the two gears together with sufficient force. Take the two gears out and look at the teeth where they mesh together to see if they are worn, this is where you will most likely find the problem if it is jumping or slipping when you kick it.
