Hey guys I'm looking for a speedometer for my 2000 Kawasaki 400 KAPS 2x4 reasonably priced can y'all point me to some websites or eBay or something like that about that or can i just use gauges from auto zone or something like that? also some rims and tires I'm needing some new ones my only have about 30% thread left if that. thanks

You can use a cheap digital bicycle speedometer. $12 at the local Walmart.

I was going to say vapor tech, but I just looked at the prices.

I was thinking I only paid about 50 bucks for mine. But that was 9 years ago.

yea i looked at those but they are expensive but i found one on amazon for about $14 and it had everything it was under bike speedometers but i might just get a gauge from auto zone or target or Walmart or something like that

I never under stood why they put speedos on a ATV. The only handy feature I find is the trip meter on them. The trees flying by gives me a good idea on the speed I'm going.

yea i get your drift i just needed one so i could figure out the top speed since my phone wasn't cutting it

Speedo's are not accurate enough for that, a measured distance and stopwatch is the only way.

They can be handy if you are wanting to keep track of your millage and if you sell or buy they are nice to have for that reason too. Had them on my Bayou's and my Prairie and I found I look at them (for speed) more than I thought I would.

My old, and cheap, gps could be used as a speedometer.
