Default When do you change your oil?

I have a 2005 250 bayou it has no hour meter or odometer were I live not able to ride a lot but I do start and run it around the the block for may be 20 mins. Than put it away I try to do this once or twice a week. I can keep track of days since my last oil change or Gallons of gas what is best ?

You can buy an aftermarket hour meter. Cheap and easy to install. Otherwise with that kind of use, maybe once or twice a year.

I was thinking about the hour meter I think it's a good thing to have. I ride so more when I take it upstate and during hunting season thank for the reply.

Depends on how much you ride. Without an hour meter or odometer, checking the oil often to see what it looks like will give you some indication when it needs to be changed. Once it starts looking a little dark, then its time. Generally change it early in the year and then later in the year is sufficient for most unless you put in a lot more miles than average.

I had a Honda Recon once, a quad very similar to your Bayou. No odometer or hour meter to keep track of miles and hours. For some reason they didn't even put an oil filter in it, save money perhaps. I just changed the oil very often on it, probably every couple months or so. All you had to do was remove the drain plug and drain the oil out and then replace it and put your 2.5 quarts in. I assume the Bayou at least has a small cartridge oil filter to provide a little better protection.
