Default Removing driveshaft 1986 300 Bayou

I'm trying to get the motor off my old Bayou but I can't get it to separate from the rear differential. I read online that there should be a pin or a circlip but was unable to find anything. After ruining the inside boot on the cv joint or universal in there I believe that maybe I was supposed to unbolt the whole assembly at the rear end or the motor. Am I right or does the driveshaft come apart some other way? If it does unbolt, do I take it off at the motor or rear end?

I finally got it. After taking it apart everywhere else, I discovered it comes apart at the engine end of the drive shaft. Take off the four 12mm nuts and it comes right apart. I think if my motor would have still had the head and cylinder on it that the rear end would have to have been pulled back a few inches to get enough clearance for it to slide out. Thankfully this was my parts bike and I hopefully won't have to use that driveshaft.
