Oil type

If any oil says "Energy" or "Resource Conserving" you don't want it in a wet clutch as they have friction modifiers which can cause slippage. Most good atv or cycle specific oils will have a jaso ma or md rating meaning it's rated for wet clutches. Endless number of brands you can choose from cheap to expensive. Choice is yours on this.

We have ran Rotella 15W40 ( non synthetic ) in our bikes for many years. Friends use Penzoil/Supertech/Castrol....etc 10W40 automotive oil in their bikes with wet clutches. Except for Polaris requiring a Synthetic for their engines ( no wet clutch ), it really doesn't matter what oil you use and you can use synthetic as well...as long it's motorcycle/ATV wet clutch rated.
