I'm not crazy about factory psi setting on my Bayou 220 either.
I finally set them to my type of riding. At the recommended setting it rode great on dirt. When on the road to get to the trails, steering/handling is nothing less than scarey @ high speeds.
I'm at 225 lbs and decided to set them to my type of riding & seems to work best for me.
