body plastic restoration
#1
i have a Kawasaki prairie 700 ive got 2 but one has major engine problems my running one has woodlands camo paint job but is badly fading and bubbling making it look mostly tan so im switched to my shiny green plastics. im trying to touch it up and remove alot of the scratches i tried the heat gun method and it did wok out very well ended up having to sand it dow to fix what ever it did... it wasnt pretty so then i tried a propane torch and it didnt do much of anything is this because its polyurithane and not plastic? or do i just need to sand it down first then torch it? if i cant get the result im going to end up spending $154 to just put vinyl over it again.

I don't think you will ever get it all looking good, I have only seen spot repairs, never a whole machine...if it were me I would replace the camo itself.
