Default Bayou 300 2x4

My Kawasaki Bayou 300 model KLF 300 B - Sometimes when you push the stater button you just hear a buzz like the starter is spinning but not catching, that's the best way I can describe it., is it most like the starter or solenoid?

A buzz is the solenoid clicking in and out due to a flat battery or bad connection, (can also be a seized engine). The noise made by starter spinning, but not connecting, is a horrendous screech. As solenoid is at back of bike and starter in front of engine you should find it easy to tell which the sound is coming from. Either fault is neither a starter nor solenoid problem.

Plus it can do the same thing if a starter is frozen/locked up. Jump the solenoid posts to get voltage to the starter to see if it works.Or you can jump the starter from a known good battery. If the starter spins, the solenoid is either bad,has a faulty connection or the battery is flat like merryman suggested.
