My dealer says he recieved his allocation manifest
today. Said the 650 should be here within two weeks. Also there is a field test report in the May 2001 Outdoorlife. Quote from article In the final Analysis, Kawasaki's 650 gave us very little to complain about and much to applaud

 

On Friday April 27th, the dealer up here said that he had been told from Kawasaki that the 650's on order should be shipped in 2-3 weeks. That means about the middle of May. He didn't know what the hold-up was, or at least wasn't saying. I hope this date is accurate.

 

I heard the same news. at the beginning of last week My dealer got his manifest and thought they would be in by the weekend. on friday I called and he said it was looking like another two to four weeks... He didnt know why....

Beginning to scare me..

 

I dont know what is happening here, i traded my atv in on the 650 6 weeks ago, they were supposed to be in any time back then, the spring is one of the best times for a four wheeler and i am still waiting for mine, i dont care how good this thing is i have about had it with waiting for it, problem is i keep hearing that it is a week or so away,
are all kawasaki's releases screwed up like this or is something happening with the 650 that is delaying it?

 

I am at the point to where I don't believe anything a dealer says! In fact I think most of the time we know more than they do about a particular model. I have personally gained a lot of information from this thread. Thanks for the education!
