Kfx 50 safety features
#2
Dont know about "safety features" on the kfx 50 but i have taught my five and help teach all the youngins coming up.( sixteen thusfar )
in my opinion the first and most important safety feature is an adult with common sense! if a child will not take direction first time without argument or delay about household chores more likely than not there not going to as you are running and screaming STOP when you realize the remote shut off is not working.
P.S. A kids 12v ride on car is where we start them.

I bought my 6 and 8 year a 2020 KFX 50 this year for Christmas. I researched most of the major brands and found the safety features on the 50cc class all pretty similar.
Throttle screw near the thumb to keep them from giving it full gas. You can adjust it down so much that they can't move at all.
Built in restriction ring which cuts power 50%. This limits the atv to about 8mph from the factory. It's supposed to go to 15mph when you remove it. Removing it is supposed to be a 10 minute job.
There are videos on youtube on how.
Kill switch tether. Very similar to something like a treadmill or jet ski. You can hold it and walk with them or attach it to the rider.
There's no gear selection. It's one forward gear that's always engaged. No reverse. It makes it stupid simple for a kid to get on and ride.
I'm about 210 and my son about 45lbs. The little 50cc with the 50% power cut still on moved us around the yard just fine with the throttle screw adjusted pretty far in.
