I have sanded the whole frame down and still did not find

I read somewhere else that where they said theirs was on top of the airbox, like a label, but I am sure it is supposed to be more permanent like on the frame.
My 2000 prairie 400 manual shows frame number is on left side frame between a-arm mounts.
What year is your machine?

2004 Bayou 300 frame number lower left frame tube just below engine toward front.
go to kawasaki.com and owner center etc search for owner’s manual and you might be able to find your frame number location. My 400 isnt stamped very deep and I could see it might be easy to sand it off.
Another option is to check with a kawasaki dealer.
Another option might be to find the engine number which might help identify the other.

Some Kawasakis apparently have illegible VIN stampings. You are looking in the right place for a 1st gen Bayou 300 (KLF300A), and I suspect Bs and later Cs used that location, too. My own '86 Bayou 300 had no visible VIN, and I removed the paint as you did.
The only way to bring out the VIN, if you have found the right location, is to acid-etch it. And that may not work. That's a technique used to bring out dates on worn coins.

It’s on the right side of the frame near the head tube instead of behind the left wheel, so check there with good light and even a flashlight at an angle. Once you find that VIN, you can plug it into a jeep window sticker lookup like https://carfast.express/en/window_sticker/jeep to verify build details, even though it’s Jeep-focused that kind of lookup shows how useful the VIN is for getting accurate info about any vehicle when you find it.
