Need help with my 03 kfx 400
*Kawasaki kfx 400*
Adult M (30)
So I recently bought my first quad. I did A oil change, new battery, spark plug and took it to the mountains in arizona. I had some trouble with idol probably due to ekevation but thought what ever ill go back to pbx and clean the carburetor.. Now keep in mind I've never cleaned a carb but I watched a step by step tutorial on it pulled out the 3 jets sprayer everything with carb cleaner and reassembled. When I went to start it up it wouldn't turn over so I messed with idol.. Finally after 15 minutes got it to start but then within a minute of running it would die.. again 15 20 minutes get it started and it would die. My question is did I mess up idol and thats why its not starting? Or is it carburetor? I also am curious on if any one has manufacturers manual and knows what specifications are on idol to dial it in... I know I'm a total noob... Appreciate any help 🙏

Never mess with the idle mixture screw. Adjust the idle speed screw to give a smooth low idle speed, but the mixture screw should be left alone unless extensive tuning has been done or you are riding at extreme elevations all the time. My guess is, if you couldn't get it to start after cleaning the carb, you put it back together wrongly. The on-line parts suppliers show exploded views of how the carb should go together https://www.kawasakipartshouse.com/o.../carburetor-a1 Don't know about Kawasaki manuals but Honda ones just say "do not alter the idle mixture screw".
