Does anyone know of these holes are supposed to be here, or is this damage? Location is right by the exhaust manifold.

 

I haven't got a 220 but my guess is Kawasaki got the machining slightly wrong and "broke through" when boring the exhaust port. This won't matter a jot as the pipe goes past that point and seals on a flange ring further in. If it had been leaking gasses there, soot would be streaked onto the fins from the two holes.
