Default Stuck engine

My son has a kawasaki kdx 175 that has sat for almost 18 years and is seized. Is there a way to get it freed up?

Usual method is diesel fuel down the plug hole as a lubricant, then, with plug still out, take a side cover off and turn the crankshaft clockwise and anti-clockwise, if it moves at all, keep doing it for a while, if it starts to move a bit more, continue until it frees up. If it doesn't free up this way, take head off and knock piston downwards with a block of wood. Some say leaving the diesel to soak for a day or two before trying to free it, is best.

Last year I sold a 53 chevy belaire which hadnt been started since 84 when my family parked it due to a leaky fuel pump. Talking to a few car buyers who specialize in anitique cars, they told me the first thing they do before even trying to see if the engine will turn over is to pull the plugs and fill every cylinder with (iirc a mixture of acetone and used transmission fluid) and let it soak for a week or more.

My son heard about the diesel fuel method, and it has been soaking for two months with him trying to turn it three or four times a day, but it will not move the slightest. he then tried heat but that didn't work either. thanks any way.

Oddly enough, was watching one of those buy a classic, do it up and sell it programs, on telly last night and they used the knock the piston down the bore with a wooden drift method, on a seized motorcycle they had bought. They mentioned to knock near the edges of the piston, rather than in the middle.

My son finally got the top end apart, but the crank shaft is still seized. He tried to put atf in it but the crank shaft seal isn't any good so it just flows out. What would be a good way to free it? Anything is greatly appreciated.
