I can't seem to make up my mind on which tires would be best for me. I currently have the stock Goodyears on it now. I ride at the Badlands in Attica, IN very frequently. There are all types of terrains out there from sand dunes to hard pack trails to mud and of course hill climbs. I ride in all of them. I have been considering, for the rear, the Maxxis All Tracs but they don't come in 20" sizes. The smallest is 22". I have also considered Bandits on the 20" size. I'm not sure about the 20" size because I will be losing ground clearance and also may have to go up 1 tooth on the counter sprocket. I have also heard they do not do very well in sand. I know Holeshots and such are the "best" hard pack/racing tire but by looking at the tread I don't think they are what I'm looking for. I think I have decided to put 21x7x10 Maxxis Pro's on the front regardless of the rears. What do you guys think about which tire and size would be best for me. I like to slide the a$$ around corners too and the stockers don't like to do that very well. What do you guys think?? Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I have Shredders on the back of mine and I love them. I haven't ridden in alot of sand, but they do great in every other condition I have ridden in. I did go up to a 13 tooth counter shaft sprocket with the 20" tires. And yes...they will slide the @$$ around.

thanks for the info 98. Do you get into mud very often with them? How do they do? When you went to the 20" and 13 tooth sprocket did you notice an increase or decrease in acceleration or low end power. I am also curious if you have had many probs. with the lower ground clearance now too. Thanks again for the input!

I am going to put my 400EX stock tires on my wifes Lakota. The 400EX stock tires in my opinion are awsome and cheap. You might want to check ebay for cheap 400EX tires and the stock Raptor tires are also very good. One thing with these choices you will need to different size rims, and this actually will get a lighter rim and better looks.

I too have Shredders on the rear of mine. I don't think any of the same type tires(Holeshots,Razrs) will be real good for sand though. I like them for everything else though. It is impossible to find a tire that is real good for all conditions so you're pretty much gonna have to sacrifice a little in one or more of the types of terrain you said you ride on. I went with the 13 front and 41 tooth rear on mine. Oh yeah since I put my stock exhaust back on the tire will rub it a little .

With the change in tire size and sprocket, I noticed very little difference. about the ground clearance, I haven't noticed the difference that much, I kinda have to watch my lines a little more, but I really don't worry about it. The tires do fine in the mud, as long as you don't stop, then the ground clearance usually comes in to play.
