Starting problems
#1
Fellow Kawasaki owners,
My friend owns a 98 Bayou 400 that truthfully, has not always been treated well by other members of his family. This past weekend he found that it would not start while we were deep in the woods with other members of our lease hunting wild pigs.
Anyway, to make a long story short, he was able to finally start it while being pulled by another ATV. I wasn't there at the time so I don't know just how he started it, however he seems to think the problem might be with the neutral switch.
Can anyone share tell-tale signs of a neutral switch problem? My thoughts are that if the neutral light is on, the switch is operating correctly. Or, is it possible for the neutral light to be on and still have an open circuit to the starter relay?
Thanks for your help.
Oh and yes, I shot a nice pig that same evening and carried it out on my Bayou 220. Don't think that set too well with him either.
