KING QUAD could out pull the 650 "JUNK" any day of the week, HANDS down. IRS is the best, that's way your "JUNK" won't win any shoot out that is coming in summer and fall. V-TWIN MY A*SS, "JUNK".

IRS is best??? In who's mind??? I do A TON of towing/hauling with my 'Cat, there is no way in hell I'd swap my floating rear axle for any IRS-whether it be the new Grizz, an SP or even the new IRS 'Cats! IRS may be good for trails, but for serious work, it just plain sucks! Of course, call me picky but I guess I do like to keep my ground clearance so I can still tow or haul stuff while climbing over other logs or rocks, stumps whatever the case may be. Then again, if the "paved" road is what turns you on, by all means, LONG LIVE THE IRS!

Kawi looks to have a great machine on their hands here. Note the UTILITY in the Sport/Utility paraphrase there-I'm betting that "junk" strait axle will easily out tow/haul the new Grizz-again, hence the term UTILITY ie work-oriented. Granted, the Grizz may take it in overall top speed, but under load, where's that ground clearance again???

My point? What is "best" for you in most cases is NOT "best" for everybody else. Please keep that in mind for your next post.

Best wishes with your much needed "respect" schooling,

Mike

You can tell this guy was looking for trouble. I'm with Cowboy. IRS has its fine points, but is not the best at everything by a long shot. Different folks have different needs and purposes for Quads. A straight axle is far and away better for work purposes. Me, I want IRS. Why? Well for ground clearance to straddle rocks and crap in the trails. I've pulled a trailer once ever with mine, and that was probably just for the heck of it. Cowboy pulls stuff all the time, and the weight does nothing for his suspension and keeps the tongue weight low and off the frame so the front end is not light. It fits him best. Matter of fact, its probably the most appealing setup there due to the swingaxle. Unsprung weight for pulling and a swingaxle that keeps all four on the ground better than an swingarm.

Ride comfort? I like ride comfort, but I can stand up over stuff too. My main thing on IRS is the clearance. Sportsmans have proven the comfort of IRS, but my AC is good enough for me. Sure it can be better, but its not bad and better than most. Stability- the swingaxle setup is very good. IRS has to be good as well, and I prefer my semi-independant setup to the straight axle swingarm of my honda easily.

You can't really say which is better. It varies on what you are doing with it, and riding styles. Thats pretty much the go on any topic here though. Folks are going to disagree, and thats what makes the world go round. Whether it be religion, government, or quads. The main thing is that you satisfy yourself, and not try to make others conform to your ways or ideas. That just leads to arguements, and 9 out 10 lead to nothing, because most of the time, one person isn't going to convince the other that he or she is right. Thats just how it is.

You should bottle or bag what you are smoking. The king quad couldn't get out of it's own way. You sound like someone that just can't afford a new Prairie 650.

Your 650 "JUNK" could not go where the KING QUAD could go in the water because of your "JUNK" Transmission BELT DRIVE!! Once you hit a FOOT OF WATER YOU ARE DONE FOR IT AND THE KING QUAD KEEPS ON GOING DEEPER BECAUSE OF THE "GEARED TRANSMISSION". BELT DRIVE IS "JUNK" AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT.

So besides the new Grizzly the Sportsman and some artic cats and suzuki's everyting else out there is junk? I personally think the Prairie will be the new king not the Grizzly or the Sportsman. Does this mean the 400EX's Raptor's and everything else out there is junk if it has a swingarm?
