I just put the Supertrap IDS2 system on my Mojave which includes a larger diameter head pipe. This made a HUGE difference throughout the RPM range. I also put a 145 main jet in. I had the DG silencer/headpipe, but returned it because of quality issues. In my opinion, the Supertrapp is an all around better built piece-sounds better too. So to answer your question, I would go with the headpipe also for maximum power gains, unless you just want a throatier sound. Don't forget to rejet-mine was extremely lean with the new pipe before I rejeted. I got my jets from Parker Yamaha. You can buy individual jets from them. It only cost me $3.11 each as opposed to the kits which are upward of $45. Sorry this is so long-just wanted to give all the info I could.
