how much for a broken tecate-4
#1
My buddy has a chance to buy a tecate-4.IT is an 87.The kid said it has alot of aftermarket parts. The problem is he can't get a good spark.I am under the impression that alot of tecate's had a problem with their stator's.Is this true?THe kid said he replaced the stator already. So it has to be the coil or CDI right?
Anyway the kid wants 1900 for it.Is this to much or about right.MY buddyy is a cheap skate so It will be a miracle if he does buy it.

i just trade my 300ex to a tecate not too long ago.. i haven't had any trouble as far as spark or the stator. i suppose you could check the cdi or coil, it may have somehting to do with it. one thing a lot of ppl overlook is the spark plug wire, it could very well be bad. anyway, if it does actually have plenty of aftermarket parts, it sounds like a good deal, so long as the motor has been rebuilt recently, cause you can get into a whole lot of crap with older bikes and motors and other parts wearing out.

Don't know. Now he has something else he want to build a 302 for his ranger.Basicly so he can get a ticket and lose his license.Hey I am just as big of gearhead as the next guy and I think a 5.0 ranger would be cool. But The way he drives he won't have his license for long.
He gets his bonus check the first week of october so we will C.
