If there are any manufactures out there and are reading this We neeed after Market parts for lakotas. IF you read around people are always tring to put mojave parts on lakotas. i always want to upgrade my lakota sport but all i can do to it is put a pipe on it and airfilter. Wich i already have. I want to find a push bar and grab bar but can't find anything. also if i want to buy new suspension i have to have it custom.

PS. Why does DG make skidplates that don't fit? my chain bounces off the skid plate and my brake rotor rubs it too.

HI,
I just purchased a 2001 Lakota Sport and I am also interested in aftermarket parts. I noticed you have installed an aftermarket air filter and exhaust. What type (make, model) did you install and how does it perform? If you reeived any info on other aftermarket parts, could you let me know? Thanks,
Lakota300cr

I have recently purchased a 01 lakota sport. I have recieved the kawi access. hand book for the 01 lakota. On kawasaki access web sight you will find skid plates, push bars and sport racks. As for why dg after market parts aren't a direct fit, first dg is a very high quality after market company I've been using sence the 70's, but remember we own 01 models wich kawi refers to as the b1 model. Although it is basicly rhe same as the 00 models slight differences remain (loss of 21lbs). Good luck and remember Ride it Like You Stole It!!!!

You might want to pick up Dennis Kirk and Rocky Mountain ATV catalogs. They carry quite a bit of stuff for the Lakotas.

I found a place in OH that carries a lot of after market stuff for Lakotas at a nice price. If you are on this coast I would be glad to pass along the info. I'll ask them if it's OK. I just bought a new aluminum full frame guard for $60 plus $9 shipping. Fit perfect. I just ordered dg nerf bars for $90 plus $9.95 shipping. Items arrived next day, but I am close to them.

I ran in to the same problem with the dg skidplate with the rotor rubbing, I put about 6 washers on the skidplate where it bolts up, it seem to clear up the problem gave me enough clearance.
