Bayou ,Fuel Problem?

I have a 90-c2 300 4x4, in good condition, however sometimes lately it supdders,like trash in the line,or the bowl, going to get into it today, any advice....[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img]

Print off a copy of the "Carburator Clinic" that is given in the Tech Tips section of this web site. It includes a step-by-step procedure to tear down an ATV carburator.

Springdrl, thanks.... got the carb out, looking at the jets, those are some small orifices, going to get the "Carb Clinic"[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Hey greaser

Check & make sure you have no water in your fuel tank...empty it completely,dry it out.& refill it with fresh gas.
Make sure the float bowl vent hose is not kinked,crushed,or clogged.
Make sure the choke plunger is not sticking open.
Change the spark plug,It may be partially fouled,once fouled it will not recover,& check for weak spark with a new or good spark plug.
Other than that....Make sure all your jets & passages are clean & clear preferably with commpressed air.

well when my quad started sputtering and acting up I took the easy way out [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] put in carbeurator cleaner into the gas... worked wonders let me tell ya.

extremelean, who would you check the choke plunger for sticking, thanks also going for carb cleaner even though carb was clen i did notice a micron of debri in the pilot jet aat least i think............[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
