I just ordered a uni clamp on air filter and a white bros e-series pipe for my 2001 mojave. I already have a dynojet kit installed and I am running a dj130 main like it says to do. With the pipe and filter should I move up to the next size in the kit(dj134) or is this too much or not enough. Thanks guys!!!!!!

It really depends on the elevation you are riding in. I had the dj134 in mine when I had the cobra pipe on it and it was fine. In fact, I had it in until about a month ago(I took the cobra pipe off in early spring) and it ran fine with the stock exhaust, but then I started getting a rich/smoking on start ups. I went down to the dj130 and it still did it. It endend up being the air/fuel adjustment. You know how it says to turn it in until it is seated and then back it out 2 turns, well I have mine backed out about 1-3/4 turns. I ride at about 1,800 ft above sea level. If you are in the window on their chart and it say's to run the dj134 then I would.

the only thing you can really do is try the different jets. i had a 300ex, and it was the baddest bike around under 400cc's. i was never beat by a 400ex unless it was built out the butt. the thing was that i didnt' have much money in my quad, a DG pipe, K&N filter, a hotter plug, and i changed tire size to 20 and all that good stuff. the reason my 300ex ran so well, was because i played around with my jets. i woul change them, then ride the quad down the road, and ride some wheelies, and it it got too much gas, i would take off the air box lid to get more air, then if it needed more gas, i'd go up one jet.. it takes a long time, sometimes a couple days, but it's well worth it. a lot of people overlook the fuel/air mixture and just buy a buttload of after market parts. i promise, if you fool around with your fuel/air mixture the way i did, you'll have the baddest mojave around.. i also had a mojave before my 300ex, and i did the same to it, but remember, if you have too much jet, try running without your air box lid,or drill some holes in it, and it will give you more air, the more air AND gas you can get in at once, the more power.
