Prarie 650 radiator
#1
I am wondering if anyone is having trouble with their radiator plugging up on the 650. I was on a run this weekend with my new prarie and there was alot of water and mud. About half way through the 50 km run my cooling system warning light started to flash so I had to stop and let it cool off. Once I got to a garden hose and cleaned it out it was fine. I also find my fan comes on alot. Is this normal ?

I have not experienced this and I have been through mud, marshes, etc... I know on several occations when I took it to the car wash after riding there was alot of debris packed around the radiator and I'v never had the warning light come on. If it's brand new I would take it back to your dealer and have him check it out. Hope you figure it out and good riding.

A riding friend on his frst ride 30 miles out , went through some mud and it over heated , we needed to actually find a hose so he could ride it normally again, the dealer has flushed out 12, 650 radiators with the same trouble. Seems to be a design flaw of some sort. My sportsman has got clogged also, but the heat light has only come one once but it has caused the fan to run allot until I got it cleaned out good,I think air cooled machines are better for mudding, they never have problems like this.
