Mojave with no gogo?
#1
This past weekend a friend of mine busted up my Mojave pretty bad. He bent a front rim beyond usage (the stock steel unit) and bent the shift lever pretty bad. The worst problem is that it wont move any more. It goes into gear, you can feel the quad lunge as you shift from neutral to first or second so I know the tranny its self is okay. I can up and down shift through the gears and it feals like they are all there. It will also shift into reverse and the indicator bulb will illuminate when you do. When you let out the clutch it wont move though at all. I think it is probably the clutch but I wasnt riding and he was drunk and doesnt remember what happened so I dont know what the quad did just before it let go. I checked the chain drive gear and it is fine and bolted down with no slippage.
Do you have any other ideas than the clutch? When you shift it into gear the front sprocket will turn a bit too which causes the little jump when you put it in gear so I dont think there is anything wrong from the tranny to the shaft that the front sprocket is on. If you can think of anything let me know.
Do you know where I could pick up the right side case cover gasket by its self or do I have to pay $90 for a complete set?

I figured out that it was the clutch today. I pulled the case cover off and there was clutch all over inside. I also found out that the problem that I was having down shifting while I was in there so it wasnt to bad.
