650 questions

I just got a new 650 and I was wondering what tires everyone is using? I gashed a big stick into the sidewall, so it's time for new tires. I was looking at the 26" 589's. Will they fit on my stock rims? Are they rougher riding? Thanks for the help.

About tires, I have 27" Outlaws and love them they rub against the plastic that covers the fuel tank but if that worries you there are tire spacers available I don't have a problem. The tires also fit on the same rims and I do beleive there are aftermarket rims that will move the tire out without having to buy spacers. The kawi is a good bike and you will have lots of fun.

Look at GBC Dirt Devil's. they go all the way up to 28 in. I put 25's on mine and love them. you wont worry about them getting gashed, they are 6-ply and don't ride rough at all. they aren't so agressive that the drive train will suffer, but agressive enough to take you anywhere. best of all I got mine from Tread Depot for 37 bucks each 25-8-12. and 43 bucks each for the 25-10-12. they are a great all around tire.
