I'm buying a IDS2 pipe from this guy. I'm getting a great deal on it.Will it run right if i don't rejet it and i don't have a K&N airfilter. I think i'm about 300-400 feet above sea level. It's the quite series do they offer a race core for it.I plan on getting a Jet Kit and K&N filter pretty soon. What about a 13t front sprocket should i get one. I do alot of hillclimbing do should i get one. Because on most hills i don't have enough power in 2nd to pull me to the top i have to shift to first. Thanks for any and all help.

As per super trapp, a quite series will offer the same performance as a race core, if no engine internal mods are done. I still bought the race core.
You can buy just the race core!

Just use four disc in the core and check your plug. If you aren't running lean keep adding disk untill you go lean and then go back one. You may probably get up to six disc, but maybe not.

By all means get the 13T sprocket. It is the single, best mod you can do and it cost $6.99 at rocky mountain.

The lakota slings the bigger sprocket no problem.

The air filter and jet kit are a must.
You may get a little better performance if you remove or alter the snorkle cap under the front grill.

I have all the mods and wouldn't second guess any hill, Now I'm pretty stupid so notice I never said anything about making it up any of them!!!!

The pipe is comeing with 12 disc. If you take all the disc out wouldn't that be the same as the race series. I have taken the cap off under the hood i done that about 4-5 months ago. Is the race series loud.

The race series comes with twelve disc as well!
The difference is the core, you can remove the core by a allen head screw under the megaphone.

Yes the race core is louder, but still relitivly quite.
Just call super trapp and see if you can change the cores.
When you buy one they give you part # to order cores, clamps, screws, and so forth.

But like I said earlier, super trap states that without engine mods niether has a performance gain from the other.

You will need those disc. You will also need another three screws that come with the system. They are shorter so you can install three to six disc, this is what you will install untill you re-jet!

Which will give it more power, and which will make it quieter? More discs or less discs? I will be getting my supertrapp soon, as soon as I sell that YZ! My Mojave is waiting for that money!

I'm getting the pipe for 50.00 and he's paying shipping. He said he bought in new in the spring and didn't like the sound of it. He said it needs a copper seal or something like that where the header pipe bolts up to head.

$50 bucks, WOW what a steel!
Ok, super trapp says the IDS2 does not require a gasket but heavily suggest you use one.
Thier only two bucks and if this is the first time you remove the stalk exhaust, you can re-use that one.
Secondly, more disc increase sound and power.
Some poeple can and will argue that you can find sweet spots were you can use less disc and less jetting to inhance bottom end and then in the same way, use more disc and more jetting to inhance top end.
I don't have the directions out here at work but it goes something like this, exhaust only: 4 disc (thiers a four disc minamum) Exhaust and jetting: 4 to 8 disc, exhaust, jetting and air filter 6 to 12 disc.
The system comes with twelve disc, and more can be purchased.
I presently run 12 disc with a #138 main, when I get home I'm going to play with #134 mains and 8to 10 disc. Not in that combination or any combination, I'm just going to look at some of those sweet spots and see what I like best.

I'm assuming Because you have a 138 and your in Louisiana and stebob is running a 134 I think and i live in between both of you all i'm not sure though i guess i will have to do some testing.
