I need an airfilter what should i get a k&N or a UNI. Please respond

I went with the UNI. It costs about half of the K&N and according to what I have read, it is supposed to perform better in dusty conditions-remember what ever you get-(if you are going with a clamp-on instead of stock style)-also get an Outerwares for extra protection.

 

I have a UNI and a Moose air filter on my Lakota. I like the Moose better because it has the two layers of foam bonded together, unlike the UNI which is two seperate layers. The Moose is easier to install.

 

I have the K&N, but I bought it off of a friend for $15. He used it once then bought a clamp on. I think the results would be similar with the UNI and I think Twin Air makes one for the Mo. So I would save the money and get what's the least expensive.

 

I had a UNI, it didnt seem to make much difference in power but then again they top end needs redone, and the filter does seem to be kind of hard to get back in.

How is the UNI hard to install? Is it not cut to the right size? It's just a flat filter. Were there top end problems previous to the installation of the UNI? Thanks.
