lighting for mojave
#3
I messed around with a battery and some diode plates on a mojave and it worked perfect.
What I ended up using was a 12V battery from a solar panel and a small electronic regulator, and then hooked it up to the stator to coil wiring and it was perfect.
The owner, who is just a boy, claimed it gave it more power at the low end and had no more nocking at the bottom while trying to pull at low end.
Now this is what he told me!!
The materials I used were around were I work, I'll try to look at some low cost regulators and batteries today and see if thiers a cheap way of doing it!!

Call Ricky Stator or go to www.rickystator.com and look at the light kits that bolt to the handlebar clamps. I'm sure one set of these would fit and have him rewind the ststor for more juice and I think you'd be pretty impressed. I might try this since I put a smoothie hood on and lost my light.

Hey thanks for the info. By the way Trailhog were you using duracell or energizer. And so did you catch the rabbit?lmao They do make a remote halogen lite for mountain bikes and the charge is supposed to last for 4hrs. I gonna look in to that as an alternative.
