O.K guys,
I have a "00" Lakota.
I have taken the racks off.
Will the Majave or The new lakota sport
headlight fit mine?
Thank you

I believe it will, but if you have aftermarket fog lights why do you need one of those little tings?

mrs attitude,
Just love the name, Ok, yes the mojave and lakota front hood will fit your quad, will the light fit the existing hood, I don't know but stebob did it to a oo lakota and I will email him and tell him to get over here asap.
All mojave and lakota plastic and gas tank are the exact same.
The mo doesn't have the mud flaps and if you look on the front part of your right fender they have three slots for cooling air to go to the exhaust, well the mo has that on it's left fender as well.

It can be done. You need to order a headlight bucket for a mojo. I ordered one from a salvace yard. You will need to paint the trim ring to match. I belive i paid 65 dollars from east coast atv.

YUP! It sure will. All you need is the headlamp assy. Also need the foam ring. Mine bolted right in. Remove the cover that has the "K" on it and the lamp will go right in. My headlamp assy. came off and old Mojave and was only a 2 wire hook up so I could only wire it to either low or high beams. I wired to low and kept the original bumper with the 2 original lamps. On low with all 3 going no need for high beams. If I switch to high only the originals work and I like that set up because when I go hunting and put the racks back on the Mo. headlamp reflects off the racks right back into my face. I am however looking to get an aftermarket bumper. I bought a pair of 55w Pilot driving lights I will mount to the new bumper using the original wiring harness.

Where do you find a aftermarket bumper?
For a "00" Lakota.
Thanks

I haven't looked yet, but I know they make them for the Mojave, they have the same frame.

I tried putting Pilot fog lights onto my Mojave. On both high and low it was barely powerful enough to turn the lights on. I then wired only one light and it worked. I ordered a bulb for a Yamaha Blaster and put it in the place of the orignal Mojave light and it is a LOT brighter. I also have a DG bumper for my Mojave and it kinda gets in the way of the light when riding in the snow or at night.

I was gonna look for an aftermarket lightbulb for my mojave.I was wondering if it could "steal" voltage from the engine cooling fan?I would hate to burn up my engine over a headlight.

I'm in the desert and it gets 120+ sometimes........kinda need the fan to work right.

well i have a hard time to get the fan on but it comes on at 190
you can buy a very small car temp gauge and install it on there and put the end of the thermocoupler in the radiaor return line it works nice
