650 Shocks
#2
The front end of a Prairie 650 uses struts not shocks and it is the springs that carry the load not the struts.
I have never bottomed out the front end on mine but at times it seems to be a little too soft. The outside front strut really dives downward in turns which has a tendency to pick up the inside rear tire. I'm thinking about getting the Progressive Suspension adjustable progressive rate springs.

As a new 650 owner, the suspension is the first thing that I want to improve. There is no pre-load adj. on the stock strut. Front is "soft". Don't understand why Kaw. short changed us there. Cost I supposed.
Anyone know of a coolant temp guage kit for the 650??? Would like to keep an eye on temp. Suggestions ????? Noticed the (very quiet) fan coming on a lot. No over heating light, but the fan cycled on and off a lot(IMO)on a 28 deg. day!
Thanks, Mike.
