What is the best all around trail riding tire. I just ride through a few mud holes nothing major. What something that rides good and wont take away from the power.

Titan 489 series is a great choice also.

The Maxxis All Tracs are also very good. They're the same tires that team Kawasaki's Mike Penland uses on his Racing 650 Prairie.

trx450, be careful running different tires front and rear as different tires in the same size (i.e. 26inch) are not the same overall height. For example, the Shur-tracs might be 26 inches tall, but the Spydertracs might be 25 1/2 inches tall. On a two wheel drive quad, this is no big deal, but on a 4x4, it's a fast ticket to smokin your front end. I'm not preaching to ya, just trying to be informative.

I keep looking for a lighter tire than dirt devils, that comes in 8" and 10" widths and 27" diameter.

The mudbug is the only one I can find. People say they really drive nice on trails.

I wish there was a better selection of lightweight larger diameter tires.

masterblastr--- If you still have your stock tires, measure the diameter of the frts. and the rears.......They are different. The frts. are 3/4 in. smaller!(or are on mine@5 PSI) I do understand what you are speaking of, though.

Trx450, I know what you are talking about, although I did not measure my stockers, I noticed a pretty large power drain while in 4x4. Those stock tires have really different rolling distances.

Now that I have maxxis mudzillas, I notice ZERO power drain switching in and out of 4x4. Although, the 28" mudzilla's drain power in 2x4, they have the same rolling distance and don't drain additional power in 4x4.

3/4 of an inch!!! Really? I wouldn't think that there would be that much of a discrepancy, but I'll take your word for it. Come to think of it, when I am not moving and switch into 2wd, the front end of my quad rises up just a little, so something must be loading up. Hopefully when I get my new tires, it will cure this problem.
