KAWLARIS......READ THIS

Kawlaris, I just looked at your pictures of the two praries that you have. Can you tell me some of your gained knowledge since you have two different 650 machines with different sets of tires on them. First, which tires do you like better and why do you like them better. What speed loss have you had with the bigger tires (both sets). Which set of tires are funner to have on fast dry dirt trails(power slides in the turns, rooster tails, etc.) Finally, (I guess), which seem to do better in the mud and what ground clearances do you have on the rear axle guard now (both sets).
I know I am asking alot, but I would appreciate any info you feel like putting out there. I really like how you mounted your winch switch, that is pretty sweet. Have you changed anything else on the two quads, like air filters, jetting , etc.
Hey,,, thanks in advance.
Longarm.

Kawlaris,,,where are you?
To those of you who read this and want to know why I dont send a private message, the truth is that I dont know how. I feel that I have questions that might interest the entire forum, so I am bringing this back up to the top of the forum.
If you look at Kawlaris' pictures, you will see why I am asking these questions, he has two 650s with two completely different sets of tires.

Longarm,
I am a humble seeker of truth and tire wisdom.
I want to know what you have to ask kawlaris and what he has to say.
However, next time, make the topic something like "Kawlaris, tell us about your tires" (or something that does not look like it should have been a private message), or if really is something nobody cares about, do what the other gentlemen have said. That way, the moderators won't be concerned, cuz they'll know you are talking to Kawlaris about stuff that is public interest.
May the Force be with you, or at least may you always have enough traction.

Finally found time to get back on the forum! Sorry took so long to respond. The 650 with the titan 589's is actually my brothers atv. I have very limited time on it on hard pack trails. From the comments he makes though it sounds to me that it doesn't handle as good as the mudrunners on the hard pack and pavement. I will have to give a slight edge to the titan's in the mud. There has been mud that he can make it through and then I get stuck. Then the complete opposite at times, just depends on the path we take. But all in all I feel the titan's due have the edge in the mud. It may be due to the titan's front tires actually measure 9" wide where as the mudrunners only measure 8" wide. The titan's are 27X9f/11rX12 tires and the mudrunners are 26X9f/12rX12 tires. The height measures 25.5" on the mudrunners and the titans measure 25.75" @ 5.5 psi. Both atv's are equipped with HL lift kits. They both feel just as stable as they did stock. The ground clearance is the same at all points on both machines. The floor boards are 14.5" and the bottom of the front skid plate is 11.75" and the center of the back axle is 12.5". The top speed on mine now is only 58 mph and it took me a quarter mile to get there. With stock tires the fastest speed I ever seen was 64 mph on the speedo. I have not used my gps since installing the bigger tires to see how much the speedo is effected.
To sum it up if you ride more mud get the 589's, if you ride alot of rock get the 589's due to the excellent rim bead protection. If you ride alot of trails combined with mud get the mudrunners. The mudrunners would be my choice again, until something new comes along.
