On my first oil change I used Amsoil 20W50 V-twin oil, kawasaki filter, Kawchem oil for the rear diff and Amsoil 20W50 V-twin in the front end. I lubed my cables with cable lube, adjusted my rear brake lever and pedal, oiled the cable ends and did an all over inspection. No loose bolts or nothing. If any of you guys are serious about doing your own maintenance, I can't stress enough the need for a service manual. They aren't cheap, but they are worth it.
