You can't go wrong with a warn winch. Iv'e got a 2500 on my 650 and it works great. You can hardly tell i've got a winch on the thing. Although I've got to admit that the new Ramsey wireless 2500 is pretty sweet and it is about the same price if not cheaper.

Yes a 2500 is what I would put. You can look at candssale.com they have free freight and good pricing.

You can spend the extra 100 bucks on a Warn 2500 or get a 2000. We use our winches like we drink water and I have yet to have the 2000 not be enough to pull myself or others out. My brothers has a superwinch 1500 with a homemade bracket on it that we took off one of our Scramblers. It has yet to let us down either. So all the bad talk about Superwinches is a suprise to me. If we ever do get into a position that we do not have enough pull I carry ****** blocks with my all the time. I have only used the ****** block once and that was because I ran down my battery doing repetitive pulling with all my lights on, and never opened the atv up to charge the battery. In my view the only advantage to the W2500 is the smaller switch. I got around that by integrating my switch into the atv. You can check it out on my atv upgrades picture album.

Thanks for the info. Have you heard anything about the Ramsey 2500 wireless? Right now my choice is between the Ramsey and the 2500 Warn. With ramsey being a remote I think there may be an advantage to getting it. You can control it from a longer distance. but then theres the Warn reputation as being a great product. Stuck in the middle. Thanks again..

I just bought a Ramsey 2500 wireless remote I bought it for a few reasons over the Warn.
Warn 2500
1 1yr warrenty
2 high current draw
3 Slower
4. no wireless remote
5. $399 including shipping
www.rcsmanufacturing.com

Ramsey 2500
1. lifteime warrenty
2 Lower current draw (easier on the battery)
( check out the charts on there sites)
3 Faster
4 Wireless remote
5 found out a lot of emergency personell are switching to Ramsey
over Warn
6 $399 including shipping
www.candssales.com
Hope this helped.

HEY KAWLARIS
I like that light you have on your handle bars. Tell me how you have it hooked and what kind of light it is.

I picked up the light at the local farm supply store. It is just a 55 watt implement light with a trapezoid light pattern. It's all rubber housed and the housing is also the mounting bracket, so I don't think it'll break off. I have that and my backup light on a seperate switch that I can turn on when needed. The head light is mounted to the pod housing. I beefed up the inside of the housing with epoxy.
