Just would like some opinions on the filtering ability of these two. I know K&N will flow better but I ride in dusty conditions and would really like to run the filter that filters the best since I just spent $7500 on my new Prairie. I've heard the twin air doesn't fit well, but UNI now has a filter on their websight, has anyone tried it? Opinions??

I am going with the foam since I live in dusty conditions and everything that I have read said that foam, filters out the dust better. You said that the Twin Air doesn't fit well? Where did you hear that? I just ordered two Twin Air filters, but haven't received them yet. Now you have me worried. I hope that I don't have to send them back. Filters for the Prairie 650 are hard to find, it seams that nobody has them in stock.

i bought a power kit so it came with it, but you can purchase them seapertly. not a foam skin, it is like a thin nylon (i think) sock type cover that goes over the air filter, and helps keep stuff off the filter, but doesnt hurt the flow.

Where are you guy's buying your filters from and do they have them in stock? ninjazx where did you get that filter skin, and how much did it cost? Does anyone know if the filter skin will work over a Twin Air filter, and if it would be a good idea? I ordered my Twin Air filters from Rocky Mountain ATV, $20.99 each, and they are a back order item. bigred650 have you noticed any difference since you installed the Twin Air, and does the quality of the filter seem as good or better than the stock filter? And does it come with the plastic frame, or just the foam element? Also, bigred650 did you buy the Twin Air "Filter Care Kit", and if so does the Prairie 650 filter fit in to the cleaning and oiling tubs? Thanks for the info!

The early twin air filters did not fit as good as they could have but I heard this has been improved. As far as filtering ability I have used K@N for thirty years with good luck and have had equally good luck with foam filters ,its just a matter of good maintenance. However the K&n filter does make more horsepower and an outerwear is good insurance. The twin air tubs do work fine on the Prairies foam filters but you must use K&N air filter cleaner and oil for there filters. Does anyone have the part # for the outerwear for the Praire?
