Has any one tried to pull there recoil start cord yet? I tried the other day and it took 20 min for it to go back in. Has any one experienced this? I am going to call the dealer and take it back in for them to look at. Just wondering if any one has seen this yet?

Thats what happened to me a buddy asked how hard they were to pull and I said I don't know and gave it a yank and out it stayed. I had to tug and play with it for about 20 mins to get it back in. Its supposed to be like a lawn mower and go right back in RIGHT???

Even tried starting it to see if that would help loosen it up and go in easier but to no avail. I will be calling the dealer and taking it in. Just wanted others to check it before they need it. Its hard pushing a 600+lbs maschine home. You can't push start them!

I had the same problem, it is not water tight. I pulled it back out after I finally got it back in. I sprayed silicon spray on the rope and inside the cover thru the rope hole. It worked like brand new again. I guess dirt and water had gotten in there. There should be a way to water and dust proof it. I now always pull it out a few times after crank up to keep it freed up.

I will try spraying something down there also then and see if that does any thing I didn't want to try that and the dealer say I screwed it up and I was on my own. I'll try that when I get home tonight and let it sit for a while. Thanks for the info. Something else to add to the list and keep a watch on and take care of for normal maintanence.

I've heard of some people starting them by rolling down a hill or by being pulled. I will test this next time I am out.

I tried rolling it down a hill, but I could hear the KEBS working on the belt, so it crawled down the hill and never cranked.

You can waterproof the pull start.Just fill the end of the handle with silicon and put it back in place. Then you just leave it alone until you need it.
