Somewhere I saw a link to a site that showed pics and had info on Kawi's new 4-stroker 400 sport quad. Anybody have any ideas? A link would be great. I hear that its pretty much the same as the new Suzuki Z400. Does anybody know the HP and Torque on these machines?

Thanks,
Bottomline

the new kawasaki sport quad IS the new suzuki the two companies merged. the quad will look identical to the new suzuki except it will be green but that is the only difference in the two bikes. color

i dont think it will be the EXACT same machine, i think the engine will be different, along with the color, and you can see it at www.4wheelatv.com

Here is a the only full picture I have found. It's pretty small:

Sucks that Kawi can't make their own sport quad. Unless Kawi uses one of their own motors, I don't see any reason to buy that one over the Suzuki-why would anyone want a rebadged Suzuki?-just get the real thing.
It's like buying a Ford truck with Chevy emblems on it.

The photo done by ATV action is NOT the new Kawasaki- It is a photo shop re-colored Suzuki. Don't expect the same plastic. Kawasaki drops the 2003 models May 31, don't know if the sport machines will be announced by then though. The 650 twin is also reportedly still coming-Keith

The color isn't the only thing different. It says Kawasaki instead of Suzuki on it. Couldn't resist. LOL

I wouldn't doubt it if they used the same exact engine as the Z400, which is fine by me. But, I hope they don't use the same rearend as the Z400, that is the same as the ones on the Quad Racer's, I hope they use the Kawasaki type rear carrier etc or better yet the Honda 250R style, hey why not Cannondale uses a honda style. The other thing is they better use Kawi hubs because of bolt pattern. Right now I have Honda and Kawi wheels and tires and I don't want to add another bolt pattern in thge mix, because I have quite a few wheel/tire combs I like to swap back and forth. I actually might be switching to Honda rear hubs on my Kawi though because I have the most invested in the Honda rolling stock. One last thing, Instead of using Z400 plastic just colored green I would be so freekin happy if they used plastic very, very simlar to the Tecate 4, they would definatly have one sold here. And, make it so it will bolt up to the old T4.

The magazine said they photo-shopped a Z-400 picture when they ran it in ATV action. The photo is NOT a Kawasaki press kit photo, stay tuned....
