Just got an 02 Mojave off Ebay for $2375 supposedly perfect condition other than a few scratches on rear fenders. I've been looking at them for awhile to replace a Trailblazer my son rides and this seems like a great deal.

Any tips or things I should watch out for?

Check over the machine for loose nuts and bolts. I'd clean the air filter (super easy) and change the oil and filter before I put any time on it. If it is hard to start or back fires when letting off the throttle you will want to adjust the valves. Be sure to check the clutch cable adjustment. I've had to adjust mine several times in the year that I've owned mine.

A Dynojet kit will give you more power and response and makes the Mojave start and run better. The Mojave is not a hard starter stock, but it comes from the factory jetted very lean. A real cheap mod is a 13 tooth front sprocket that gives the Mo a bit more top speed and makes the gears seem wider spaced.
