650 won't start in N

HI i'm having a little problem my 650 used to start in neutral by just hitting the starter button now you have to pull in on the brake to get it started any help would be apperciated

Is your shifter in nuetrel? If so try moving it around when hitting the botton. Your shifter might be out of adjument.

maybe the neutral saftey switch is bad....

I have messed with moving the shifter around,I have checked all the fuses.It will start in nuetral but I have to pull in on the brake.Where would a nuetral switch be found.

I think it is below the shifter I'll check for it tonight.

HEY 650 DAD--- You have a private message!
You might want to buy a factory service manual for the bike, they cost @$30.00 at the dealers. The manual will have a troubleshooting flow-chart for the neutral safety switch circuit. Sounds like the shifter is way out of adjustment.

Hey 650Dad
I had the same problem with mine. I had the dealer fix it under warranty. It is a bad relay under the seat. I do not have the part # or any information but I did see what they replaced. I could probably get more information if you need it.
