650 tires & rims
#1
Ok I have been looking at dirt devil xt 26s or bearclaws 26s. I found best price at www.recreatonaltires.com dd's for 590 on douglas rims bearc's for 550 on douglas rims delivered on both. I am leaning to the dirt ds. The question for people who own these tires how do the 26x10x12 perform in front? I am taking a trip to Colorado in july so I have to up date stockers soon. Any pos or neg on either tire is welcome.
Thanks Paul

if it stays as dry here as it has been your stockers will be fine
but I will mention I replaced my tires with mudrunners same size as the 650 comes stock with they work great. I have had Mudrunners on my 95 Bayou 4x4 for a year a half
Not only do they ride faily desent they have not worn down at all Mudrunners are a well built tire. Also what part of colorado will you visiting. I live on the Western slope Grand junction area about thirty miles from Utah border we have some dunes just north of town open to the public not a bad place to ride but I love riding the high country above 10,000 feet. Snow is about gone so pretty soon it will be time

I believe The area you mentioned is over by leadville south west of Denver do not know much about what is ride able over there but I would think there should be plenty. Now over here on my side of the mountain there is many trails behind Vega dam thats on top of the Grand mesa and some good fishing too. I'll being going to the Ridgeway area looks to be some beautiful country up that way thats rideable and if you cannot ride it it is still beautiful. Hope this helps or gives you some ideas. later

ROWDY,
I posted a thread in the yamaha forum talking about the DD's x/t on my bike. Might help you out a little.
I ride with a couple of different people with the same bike as me. ITP 589's, Mudrunners, DD's, stockers, and Titan's. The only thing that i can say is...Wow. All these tires work great. I chose the DD's because of 6 ply and price. I dont know how they do on the 650 because of clearance and stuff, but as far as use goes...ya cant go wrong!

As you can see - I have DD's on my Prarie. They seems to work great in all terrains one heck of alot better than the stock tires. Everyone that has seen them can't believe how awsome they look and work. If a tire is touching the ground - You will move forward!
I havn't had a chance to ride along side a quad with the Bear Claws so I can't give you a direct comparison, but I came down to the same two tires that you are considering - chose the DD's and havn't been unhappy with my decison at all!
Good Luck in what ever you choose...
