KLF 220 HELP
#11
Myself and my family have had a ball on our Bayou 220, and all the other "utility" style quads we own. I agree it could use a little more uummph for mild hill climbing and sand pit fun. Putting a couple of hundred bucks in it would be ok by me if it kept you happy with it for a while. Sometimes the only way to get your money out of some mod or fix is to ride it out of it. Don't go nuts spending $ on it cause it does have design limitations but speaking from my experiences it's a fun little quad! It aint never gonna look much better, just keep it clean and don't rag it out and understand that you are having a ball for not a lot of bucks. That is the essence of ATVing, having fun!!

I won't lie but im a beginer at atving so I love it. Im only 14 years old and I have fun with it. Im Not looking to make it better looking. If I wanted to get alot of speed i would bought a warrior. For my size its perfect. As i get older I will Buy a new one. So i love it alot and whats the sense in buying a forman or anything else just for a some more power. Its just going to get old. MATT

My son is 11 and he handles all our quads except the Q-sport well too. He hasn't mastered the clutch, yet, but he has a lot of fun on the other 3. At 14 you are probably right sized for a mid size quad like the Bayou 220, and should have fun for years to come. It is a great starter quad. I think the top speed of a 220 is in the mid 40's which is plenty fast enough to get hurt, so be careful. Top speed isn't what ATVs are all about anyway. Check out my new website for a look at my kid on my Ozark. The only reason he doesn't have on a helmet is because it was a staged shot in the yard! Otherwise he would have his on!
