Does this part increase air flow enough to do away with holes in the airbox? I now have 20-1 inch holes in my air box, and I'd rather just buy a new lid with no holes in it and use this hose to breate cold air. Has anyone noticed that the UNI vents are sucking super hot air. I may jet to just the hose id you guys think it really breaths well. I also can't wait until Bearman comes out with the intake.

I think your 20 holes are better for flow. But, if I were you I would still go with the new lid and this radiator hose. I know what you are talking about with the hot air. My truck sucks a lot of hot air when the AC is on and I am stopped, since I have a K&N kit on it. Takes a second for it to regain power after I get moving.

hey people,
I opened up my stock exhaust. It is not much louder, but I can't feel any gain at all, low or high rpm. Wasted my time. Maybe I did not do enough? Maybe the big restriction is right at the start of the muffler. I down want to cut and find out.

It does sound really cool, and I'm not just sayin that. Not much louder, but kinda growly like a cobra exhaust.

We will have the new air intake ready late next week or the following week. The Napa hose idea is a good one but our molded one flows way better and has a built in area to catch and drain away any excess water that you may encounter.

Nyroc
We are testing daily on the CDI and it is coming along better than we had hoped. There is a lot of torque hiding in that v twin, our settings are almost set in stone and production could start as soon as 2 months. Something else we are working on is a fix for the clutch. I am aware that some of you are not having unusual wear problems here but many more are. A permanent fix for the clutch is the second most requested item from us, the first being a performance air intake system.

Hey Bearman, you gotta get geared to ship to Canada, when you get all these 650 goodies going. If your interested, a buddy of mine that's starting an aftermaret shop, I'm sure that hye'd love to distribute.

Hey Prairiedust, I noticed a drop in top end too,,,maybe Nyroc's right and we are running too lean.I didn't seem to be running any hotter at all though.....

Hey kingmort, I just put one size larger jets in my 650 and am taking it for a quick spin before I head south for the weekend. I am getting good at it, and did it in 15 minutes.

I may be a little lean since I modified my muffler.

Two signs (besides plugs) of slightly lean are:
Inside of exhaust pipe has no light grey soot, just rusty color. Rich makes dark soot.
Engine has most power when it is hottest.

Good luck
