Guys, do yourself a favor and buy a service manual. With all the pictures in there, a complete idiot could fix anything on their wheeler. NO KIDDING!!!!! They have step by step instructions on how to tear apart everything in there. Besides that, if you do your own maintenance on your quad, it familiarizes you with a lot of parts that you would normally never even consider. Not only that, but when the wife is crabbin at you, you have an excuse to go outside and get away from her!!! HEHEHEHEHE!!!!!!!!!!

I think the dealers figure that quads are toys and that we will spend moocho dinaros to get them fixed as we just can't live without them. WRONG!!!!! I'll read my service manual for a day to figure out what the prob is and then I'll fix it myself. I might not get it done in record time, but it will get done. When I bought my service manual, I went to pick it up and the mechanics were looking through it. I asked them what they were doing and they said "we don't have one of these, so we were just looking" HHMMMMMMM

1. Dealership (sales and service)
2. Mechanics (supposed to know how to fix stuff)
3. No service manual (how are they gonna fix stuff?)

You guys try to figure it out.

heres one for ya!!!
I bought my new quad at the only dealership within an hour of my house. i try to do all the work on my quad myself, but i needed some advice on the clutch. i asked the top machanic at the dealership what kind of grease i should use on the clutch, and he said none. he was serious about it too. i told him it had grease in it allready, and he told me yamaha screwed up, and to remove it. well, i bought the c.d. on how to fix it, and in it is says you have to grease it, and to use grizzly grease, witch is what it is for!!!i called the machanic back, in witch he then told me yamaha doesn't know what there talking bout? i went to the store, had them order me some grizzly grease, and when it came in, showed it to the machanic. he then replyed, wow, i guess there is going to be alot of upset grizzly owners then, couse i havent greased any of them? needless to sy, i am adjusting my own valves, and told him to go back to school to learn about how to fix quads. and these people charge $55.00 an hour???
