Hi all,

I just hit the 800+ mile mark on my P650 and my belt has squeeked a few times at take off and I'm not really concerned about it, but i noticed a few times when I get on the brakes hard to stop it makes the exact same noise as when it squeeks at take off. Has anyone experienced this same thing or have any ideas. Thanks

As posted somewhere else earlier, mine "sqawks" once on take off uphill. It has 400 miles onit, and is not concerning me a whole lot. Think I will adjust the tension and see if I can make it worse!(LOL). Mine, however, DOES NOT make noise on braking, other than the occasional pad squeal up frt. R U sure its the belt?

I've got over 100 hours on mine and it has squawked on takeoff since the first time I got it in a real bind and smoked the clutch. Dealer says there is nothing wrong. I haven't had anything on braking hard...it could be your brakes squeeling.

you can chang the belt tension by changing the shimes.check the post"belt slipping on my 650,need help" and they explain how to do it.

One thing that can happen if you lock your wheels up hard is the secondary does not have enough time to backshift all the way. Then when you go to take off again you get a squak from the belt. My 00 Cat used to do this quite often. Can't say that it's ever happened to me while on the 650. Have you checked your belt tension lately?

I think trbolvr has it spot on, does it do it in 4wd too? (it's harder to lock up all four in 4wd)
